A unique, interactive, student-friendly learning environment, the Hall of Fame is one of only sixteen state halls of fame in the United States. The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame is one of only a few that offers a wide variety of education programs for visiting students.The many facets of sports become a relevant model by which to educate the whole child. Programs encompass: character development and sportsmanship; nutrition and physical fitness; and math, science, and history. From the effects of DNA on performance, to the aerodynamics of a baseball, to the effects of sugar and fat intake on the body, teachers and students alike are engaged and educated.
