So You Want to Be a Doctor?
(Grades 8-12)
Students are introduced to medical careers associated with sports medicine. They gain knowledge of possible medical career choices, the education involved, and the salary expected. They also spend time in the Bon Secours Training Room exploring innovative advances in sports medicine.
Careers in Sports
(Grades 7-12)
There are many careers that are associated with and support the sports field. In this new program students learn about careers such as massage therapists, athletic trainers, human kinetics specialists, spa/health club managers, strength conditioning technicians and many more. Student interests are identified. Problem-solving techniques are explored.
Scavenger Hunts
(Grades K-12)
From racing to locate numbers, colors, shapes, and “the turkey” to finding the odds of a high school basketball player making it to the pros, Kindergarten, Middle and High School students enjoy the challenge of the scavenger hunts. They encourage teamwork and reinforce reading skills and following directions.
