Tips for your Field Trip

Comfortable clothing and athletic or tennis shoes are a must!

The tour is 21/4 hours long. Plan bus arrivals and departures accordingly. If your group is late, we cannot guarantee your scheduled program or tour.

The large group will be divided into two smaller groups. The two smaller groups will alternately tour the upstairs and downstairs. Have in mind ahead of time how your large group will be divided.

Reserve the Sports Gallery at the time of scheduling your trip if your group will be bringing a bag lunch.

You may purchase gift bags for your students by ordering at the time of scheduling. They cost $1.00 each and include a key chain, bracelet, and a pencil.

Encourage chaperones to stay with their assigned group at all times and review expectations for students’ behavior.

Grant awards do not include costs of bus transportation.

If weather permits, please leave jackets and coats on the bus.

Please remember this is a “no chewing” facility. Have students deposit gum in trashcans.

If it becomes necessary to cancel your visit, please call at least one week in advance to avoid paying cost of trip. (Healthy Life Grant recipients who do not give a one-week cancellation notice are liable for the total cost of trip.)
