Roosevelt Brown

Roosevelt Brown was a Pro Football Hall of Famer, and in 2000, was featured in the book, “The NFL’s Greatest,” where he was named to the NFL’s All-Time team and recognized as one of the most legendary grid stars of all time.

A native of Charlottesville, Brown was ranked #19 on Sports Illustrated’s Top 50 Athletes from Virginia and was considered one of the greatest sleeper draft picks of all time. He played 13 seasons with the New York Giants, who then employed Brown for 46 years.

His numerous accomplishments and accolades include ten consecutive Pro Bowl selections, six divisional championships, one NFL title, NFL Lineman of the year, and induction into eight sports halls of fame. In 1999, he was selected to the All-Madden All-Millennium team of the NFL.
