The Virgnia Sports Hall of Fame was designed to pay tribute to anyone who has made a lasting contribution to the cause of sports in Virginia, the nation, and the world through outstanding achievement or service. This includes athletes, coaches, administrators, and other contributors to the game.

John Hilton

Betty Jaynes
Jaynes is best known for her contributions as an administrator.  She founded the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, where she was both Executive Director and CEO over her 19-year tenure. (Read More)
Jerome Kersey
Kersey was raised in Clarksville, and attended Longwood College (now Longwood University), where he was a record-setting basketball forward and two-time Division II All-American. (Read More)
Kelli James Precourt
James led the Monarchs to three NCAA national championships (1988-90-92).  She was a two-time All-American, and was also given the coveted Honda-Broderick Award in 1992, which honors the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year.   (Read More)
