Hails & Farewells on the VSHF Board
The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to welcome its newest members to the Board of Directors.
Joining the Board of Directors are James Chapman, John Howerton, Kevin Larkin, Roger Neel, and Greg See.
James Chapman graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in Biology and received his M.S. in Commerce from the University of Richmond. He retired in 1996 as the Vice President of First Union–Trust Investments and currently serves on the Boards of Directors for the Blue Ridge Mountain Council–Boy Scouts of America, the Boys and Girls Club of Roanoke, and Mill Mountain Zoo.
John Howerton graduated from the University of Richmond, where he served as the basketball manager from 1975 to 1979. He is currently employed as Senior Vice President/Branch Administrator for the Second Bank and Trust. He served as the Sectional Chairman for the Virginia Golf Association from 1989–1995.
Kevin Larkin graduated with a Finance degree from Old Dominion University, where he was a captain and four-year scholarship athlete for the men’s basketball team. He is a Senior Client Manager in the Bank of America Middle Market Banking Group. He specializes in delivering financial solutions to a variety of municipal, not-for-profit, and higher education clients. He also serves on community Boards for Leadership Hampton Roads, United Way of South Hampton Roads, Fest Events, and Christmas in April.
Roger Neel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Roanoke College, where he was a four-year golf letterman and team captain. He presently co-owns and operates three independent restaurants in the Roanoke Valley. He is currently working on several real estate developments in the downtown Roanoke area and across the Roanoke Valley.
Greg See is a 1981 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing degree. He is the co-founder and CEO of Diversified Marketing Services in the northern region.
